Hisi Nampeyo
Traditional Hopi polychrome designs.
Hisi Nampeyo, also known as Camille Quotskuyva, is daughter of Dextra Quotskuyva, Hopi's most famous living potter, and great-great-granddaughter of legendary potter Nampeyo. Hisi's design motif is drawn from historical Sikiyatki patterns and the traditional work of her family. Hisi credits her mother Dextra for patiently teaching her the art of pottery-making, and also her brother, artist Dan Namingha, for encouraging her as an artist. More and more, Hisi's work is compared in style and quality to her mother's.
