Jean Sahme Nampeyo
Jean signs "Sahme" without the "i."
Daughter of Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo, Jean is a member of the large Nampeyo clan. She uses only traditional methods of forming, painting and firing her pottery, and is so passionate about the process that she teaches it nationwide. Her work is quintessential traditional Hopi, and her large portfolio of designs and forms keeps her collectors coming back for more.
